Stay truthful
Turn your real resume into stronger answers without inventing skills, results, or experience.
AI mock interview
Resume + job post → proof, gaps, stories, and practice questions
Start here
That is all we need. Interview details are optional, and we never add experience you did not provide.
Upload a file or paste your resume. We only use the experience you provide.
Upload or paste the full job post so the practice matches this role.
Add as many source links as you need, then paste the relevant profile, project, or work-history text. A link labels the source; only content you provide is treated as evidence.
For LinkedIn, upload your profile PDF or data export, or paste your own profile text. InterviewThread does not scrape LinkedIn or treat a URL alone as proof.
Why this exists
Job descriptions can feel overwhelming, and generic AI drafts often sound inaccurate or unlike you. We help you understand the role, use only your real experience, and practice until you feel ready—especially when interviewing in a second language.
Turn your real resume into stronger answers without inventing skills, results, or experience.
Translate a complicated job description into the evidence, gaps, and questions that matter most.
Rehearse realistic follow-up questions and get feedback grounded in the role and your own story.
Frequently asked questions
What you need, what InterviewThread does, and what always stays under your control.
No. Every suggestion must trace back to evidence you provide. Missing proof stays visible as a real gap.
One real resume and one real job description are enough. Adding your interview date or application stage makes the preparation plan more useful. Optional: add LinkedIn, GitHub, a portfolio, personal website, public resume, or another career profile for fuller context. Upload an export or paste the relevant content; a URL alone is never treated as proof.
No. It maps each important requirement to strong, partial, or missing evidence instead of claiming one universal ATS score.
Guest mode: your interview history and practice progress will not be saved.
Common PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, text, and OpenDocument files are parsed in your browser by default. Scans or legacy files may need OCR or conversion first.
No. The public open-source version never submits an application for you. You review and control every action.
The interface supports 40 languages and worldwide filters. Live job and market coverage depends on approved sources available for each region.
When cloud read-aloud is configured, only the current question text and selected language are sent to Microsoft Azure Speech. This feature does not send your resume, job description, answer, transcript, or raw voice recording, and InterviewThread does not save the returned audio. If cloud speech is unavailable, it falls back to the browser or device voice.
Live draft captions use your browser or device. For signed-in users, when cloud correction is available, the recorded answer audio, selected language, and up to 80 short vocabulary hints from the role, resume, and job description are sent temporarily to Microsoft Azure Speech for a final transcript. InterviewThread does not store or log the raw audio, returns the result with private no-store instructions, and lets you edit the text before submitting. Guest mode stays browser-only. If cloud correction fails, your device transcript remains in the answer box.
